Step into the world of 19th-century America as a rancher, herding your cattle from Texas to Kansas City and sending them off by train. In the process, you'll earn money and victory points. Naturally, each time you arrive in Kansas City, you'll want to have your most valuable cattle in tow. Navigating the Great Western Trail, however, requires not only maintaining your herd's health but also wisely utilizing the various buildings along the way. Additionally, consider hiring capable staff, such as cowboys to improve your herd, craftsmen to construct your buildings, or engineers to work on the essential railroad line.
To emerge victorious, you must cleverly manage your herd and capitalize on the opportunities and challenges presented by the Great Western Trail. The player with the most victory points wins the game.
The second edition of Great Western Trail includes solitaire rules, catering to a player count of 1-4.
